5-panel vintage flatbills, cut and stitched in Kansas City
A flat brim, a five-panel crown, and the look ballplayers wore before the curved bill took over. Every one is cut and stitched in our Kansas City shop, in-house from cut to ship, in corduroy, canvas, ripstop and wool, with city, college and ballpark designs.

The 5040 is our five-panel vintage flatbill. It has one wide front panel instead of two, so the crest sits clean and centered with no seam running through it. The brim stays flat unless you decide otherwise.
We build them the same way we build everything else here: fabric cut from the roll, panels sewn, brim shaped, and every hat inspected before it ships. That's what keeps fit and finish consistent run after run. Want the six-panel version? See our 6-panel vintage flatbills. Building something custom? Our custom hat program runs out of the same shop.
Vintage flatbill questions, answered
Where are Sandlot vintage flatbills made?
Every one is cut, stitched, and inspected in our Kansas City, Missouri shop. In-house from cut to ship, no offshore finishing.
What's the difference between a 5-panel and a 6-panel flatbill?
A 5-panel has one wide front panel with no center seam, so the design on the front sits clean. A 6-panel has a seam down the middle of the front and a taller crown.
How do they fit?
Most styles are one size with an adjustable closure, noted on each product page.
Do you make custom or wholesale flatbills?
Yes. We run custom and wholesale programs from the same Kansas City facility, from concept through sampling and production. Reach out through our custom page to talk through what you're building.
